We hope everyone had a chance to relax and recharge over the long Labor Day weekend— you deserve it!
Introducing… First Fridays!
This year we’re kicking off a brand-new tradition to bring our community together. Most First Fridays will happen right here on campus, 2–4pm, out on one of our playgrounds. Think of it as a casual hangout: kids play, parents connect, and sometimes we’ll sprinkle in a fun theme or special activity.
For our very first one, we’re keeping it simple and all about community. After pickup, stroll down the sidewalk outside the school on Pecan Brook and enter at the big gate on the main playground for some after-school fun.

If your child needs to head inside for the restroom, they’ll need an adult buddy.
While we’re having fun outside, our amazing staff will be busy with professional development so not available to chat with, but it’ll be a great opportunity to build community with other Magnolia families.—so let’s keep the party to the big playground only.
We can’t wait to see you there—let’s make First Fridays our new favorite way to kick off the month!
Let’s taco ‘bout dinner plans… Chipotle Spirit Night is here!
Skip the cooking and join us for a night that’s good for your family and for our school! Swing by Chipotle (1201 Barbara Jordan Blvd) on Thursday Sept 18 from 4–8pm to grab dinner—eat in or take it to-go—and a portion of your order will go straight to supporting the awesome work FOM does for our school.

A BIG thank you to Lynn, Akshay, Rebecca, Kevin and Kasey for cleaning up around the elementary car line pick-up area! Thanks to your hard work, our kids and teachers have a cleaner area to end their day. What an awesome way to make a difference for our school community!
Don’t forget every family is required to volunteer in the ways that work for them. If you like to be outside and making a change, keep an eye out for more campus beautification projects on our website and facebook page!
