FOM Grant Application

It all starts with an idea…

We are excited to offer grants to the Magnolia community and support ideas that can improve our space and benefit the people here!

Who Can Apply?

All staff are encouraged to apply!

Families and Room Reps may submit a grant request only in conjunction with a Magnolia staff member.

Student-led requests must have the support of a Magnolia staff member.

If it serves our community, we welcome your application.   

FOM has set aside $5,000 for grants for the 2026-2027 school year. Grants are considered on a first-come-first-served basis, from August 1st until April 30th, or until funds run out.

Approved Grants

Approved grant funds must be used within 60 days of the grant approval date, unless a different timeline was included in and approved with the original grant request.

Receipts and required reimbursement documentation should be submitted promptly after purchases are made.

Grants follow-up

After grant funds have been used, recipients will be asked to submit a brief follow-up that includes:

  • A photo, when applicable

  • A short paragraph describing how the grant was used and its impact

This helps FOM understand and share how grant funds are benefiting Magnolia students, staff, and our school community.

Please note:

  • FOM considers how many people will benefit in relation to how much money is being requested.

  • Basic materials and trainings should be covered by existing staff budgets. Grants are available for materials and experiences that go beyond the normal expenditures expected in the year.  Please note: requests for trainings and PD should be brought to an administrator for input before applying for the grant.

  • Please allow 2-4 weeks for the FOM Board to make a decision on your grant request. Any questions please direct them to fom@montessoriforall.org .

  • Please be specific and include pricing and websites for examples of the items, services, or classes requested.

  • Please be aware that anything requested and granted from the FOM grants is a gift to your Magnolia Classroom. If you happen to move on teaching somewhere else, the gifted item must remain at Magnolia in that assigned classroom for the next Guide to use.

  • If your grant is approved, fill out the FOM Purchase Request/Reimbursement Form with spent receipts (if applicable) within 60 days. FOM Reimbursement Instructions
