Grown-Up Squads!

Squads are activities geared toward adult volunteers (parents/guardians OR Magnolia guides/staff). The Library Squad, and Fun Run Squads are a couple of examples.

Expectations

Availability

Not all Squads are active year-round, and in fact, some are not even present every year! They all depend on adult volunteers (just like you) to donate their time. If you’re interested in contributing your time to any of the below squads, or if you have a new idea you’d like to get going, please let us know.

Adult Volunteers

  • Adult volunteers should come with a positive and collaborative attitude, ready to jump in and help where help is needed

  • Have fun with the students (and your fellow grown-ups!) as they learn new skills, supporting their lows and highs

  • Knowing and communicating your needs with the main squad contact(s) helps everybody know what resources are available, and what’s needed

  • The Library Squad is a group of parent volunteers who run the Monarch Library.

    We provide access to beautiful, well-written, high-interest  books for all Magnolia students. Guides and students in grades 1 through 7 will be able to check out these books to take home to read. The students in Children’s House will get to choose a book to keep in the classroom for the week.

  • Information Coming Soon

  • If you love to get your hands dirty and garden we’d love to have you on our squad. Kevin Kelly and Kellie Sherrill will be organizing the twice yearly event for the elemnetary and middle schools. Fall Beautification Day coming up on October 24, 2026. Click here to find out more.

  • You and your family are invited to our school-wide campout. We have one in the Spring and one in the Fall. All experience levels are welcome.

  • Our book fairs are a lot of fun and a great way to share a love of reading with your child. You can attend as a shopper or volunteer or both.
